Tino Buchholz ist Stadtforscher, Planer & Filmemacher (http://www.tuniproductions.com). Er hat an der TU Dortmund Raumplanung studiert (Dipl-Ing. 2007) und promovierte an der Universität Groningen (Dr. phil 2016) mit einer Arbeit zu Kämpfen um Anerkennung und bezahlbares Wohnen in Amsterdam & Hamburg: Resignation, Widerstand, Migration. Ferner informieren Forschungsaufenthalte in Amsterdam (NL), Leipzig (DE), Rostow am Don (RUS) und Poznan (PL) sein Interesse an urbanen Konflikten in West- und Osteuropa. Seine Forschung fokussiert kritische Theorie und räumliche Praxis: anhand demokratischer Teilhabe in der Stadtpolitik & Planung, legale Prozeduren der Inklusion & Repräsentation, legitime Protest- und Widerstandsbewegungen sowie extra-legale Formen informeller Selbstorganisation. Im Zentrum seiner empirischen Arbeit stehen Konflikte um das Recht auf Stadt/ Wohnen entlang der Boden- und der Wohnungsfrage.
Tino Buchholz holds a Master in Urban Planning from the University of Dortmund (Germany) and a PhD from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). Focused on the sociology of urban conflict and urban movements he looks at forms of life as forms of housing: with respect to property-led urbanization, normative justice, community formation and migration. His publications target the legitimacy of legal housing standards in Western and Eastern Europe, squatting, property guardianship and critical urban theory. Expanding the scope of urban planning he works as producer and director at TUNi productions with documentary film (http://www.tuniproductions.com).
